AI Research Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking AI Research Specialist to help shape our AI strategy with a specific focus on training data infrastructure and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. This role reports directly to the CEO and is critical to our innovation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research & Trend Analysis: Track and evaluate latest trends in AI, tools, frameworks, and academic research. Focus on data infrastructure, vector databases, LLM fine-tuning, and RAG frameworks
• Strategic Advisory: Provide monthly reports and recommendations to the CEO on emerging AI technologies. Assess feasibility and potential impact of new AI technologies
• Technology Evaluation: Conduct comparative assessments of AI tools and platforms. Run tests and benchmarks to validate theoretical findings
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, product, and data teams. Integrate research findings into product development and strategic planning
• Knowledge Structuring & Communication: Synthesize complex technical research into business language. Drive informed decision-making across the organization
• Optional Prototyping: Create proof-of-concept demonstrations if skilled in programming

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• 1+ years of experience in technology research, AI/ML analysis, or a related analytical role
• Strong understanding of AI architectures (transformers, embeddings, RAG)
• Proficiency in Python or SQL
• Knowledge of databases and information retrieval
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale data systems or data engineering
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate
• Understanding of ML model evaluation and benchmarking
• Experience writing executive-level technology reports
