About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking AI Research Specialist to help shape our company’s strategy in artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on training data infrastructure and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. This role is critical to our innovation roadmap and reports directly to the CEO, offering a unique opportunity to influence high-level decisions and guide our technical direction from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Trend Analysis:
Track, evaluate, and report on the latest AI trends, tools, and academic research—especially those related to data infrastructure, vector databases, LLM fine-tuning, and RAG frameworks.

Strategic Advisory:
Provide clear, concise monthly reports and ad-hoc recommendations directly to the CEO on the feasibility and potential impact of new AI technologies.

Technology Evaluation:
Conduct side-by-side assessments of AI tools, libraries, and infrastructure platforms. Run tests and benchmarks where appropriate.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to integrate findings into real-world applications and long-term planning.

Knowledge Structuring & Communication:
Synthesize complex technical research into understandable business language. Present insights that help drive informed decision-making.

Prototyping (Optional):
Create minimal proof-of-concepts to evaluate the real-world potential of novel approaches or tools.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in technology research, AI/ML analysis, or data-driven consulting.

Understanding of modern AI architectures, including transformers, embeddings, RAG, and vector search.

Working knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python or SQL).

Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, cloud data storage, and information retrieval principles.

Strong critical thinking and the ability to learn and evaluate new technologies rapidly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large-scale data systems and data science workflows.

Exposure to tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, etc.

Understanding of ML model evaluation, dataset construction, and training pipelines.

Prior experience writing executive-level briefings or strategic technology reports.

What We Offer:
Remote-first work environment with flexible working hours

Direct influence on the company’s AI roadmap and innovation agenda
Continuous learning opportunities, including participation in global conferences and online courses

A dynamic, fast-moving startup culture where your work truly matters

Competitive compensation based on experience and impact
